Hall Equipment for External Events

Byfield Village Hall has a selection of items that can be hired for use outside the hall. All items listed are available at no additional charge when used within the hall as part of a booking. For events taking place elsewhere, these items may be hired separately on a per-day basis, subject to availability. This provides a convenient option for local events, celebrations, and community activities beyond the hall itself. Full details of available items and hire arrangements are listed below.

Crockery and Cutlery

130 sets of crockery and cutlery are available for hire at £1 per day per set. A charge will be made for any losses or breakages.

Tables

12 large folding (‘Gopack’) tables in the Hall were purchased by the Byfield Parish Council, on behalf of all those who live in Byfield, and are available for use free of charge to anyone who lives in the village. A donation of £10 per table per day is welcome.

22 small folding (‘Gopack’) tables belong to the Village Hall and are available for hire at £5 per table per day.

Loss or excessive damage will be charged at £70 per small table and £90 per large table these being replacement costs.

Mobile staging belongs to the Village Hall, and is available for hire at £30 per day.

Loss or excessive damage will be charged at £50 per staging unit.

Returns

All items must be returned by the date agreed with the Chairman to their appropriate location in the Hall in a clean condition. Late returns will be charged at the daily rental rate.

Surety

A surety is required whenever items leave the Village Hall, the amount being determined by the BVHMC depending on circumstances such as length of hire and number of items, up to the total replacement cost of the hired items. This will be held as an uncashed cheque, returned or destroyed once all items are returned undamaged.
